Two face! (late night boredom)

I know Halloween is a good month away... but it's never too early for Halloween makeup! ;)
You'll have to pardon my enthusiasm. It's just that I was never allowed to dress up as a child and now that I'm an adult I finally started to get into it. The right side of my face will be what I'll be dressed as and the other side is for my mom. Please forgive the bad concealer job I did on my eyebrow and around my lips... I used a brush to clean up the edges of my lips (for the first time) and I didn't quite get the hang of it. XD
Can you guess what costumes I did my makeup for? A cookie for anyone who gets it right. :P

Natalie Portman White Swan inspired

So... I know I may be a bit late to watch the movie Black Swan but I finally did! I'd been meaning to watch it for a while, I'd heard all kinds of opinions about and I wanted to see for myself what the buzz was all about. So today I finally sat myself down to watch it. At first I was a bit bored but as the movie hit its climax, I was hooked. Needless to say, I really enjoyed the movie and will  definitely be watching again.
Anyway, I know there are countless tutorials on YouTube on Natalie's Black Swan look. As much as I admired it, the makeup she had on as the White Swan instantly captured me. So innocent yet captivating. Inspired, I did a look similar to hers. Of course it won't be the same due to the fact that our features aren't the same and her makeup was done by a makeup artist. Needless to say, I did my best and I must say I love how it came out. :)
I was inspired by the following pics...
Lovely, right?

Now here's my take on it!

lol I totally didn't mean for them to come out that size. XD
And finally without the white liner under...

Okies. XD
Anywho, I hope everyone has a great night! As always, thank you for reading. :D

Gilded EOTD

Happy Friday everybody! :)
Boy, the week just flew by. Before we know it, we'll be celebrating Halloween, Thanksgiving and finally Christmas. :D
I bring you the look I wore to school today. I originally planned on wearing a smokey emerald look but I got inspired by some beautiful antique gold with black stones earrings I have.
Products used
-UDPP
-Inglot #433
Lid
-MAC Vintage Coin
Lower lashline and crease
-UD MIA
Crease
-UD Perversion
Outer v (but then I went over it w/ Vintage Coin)

Crease and up
-L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner
-Maybelline the Mega Plush mascara
-E.L.F. Dramatic lashes

Coupla more pics...

And here are the earrings which inspired me... I realized they never came out in any of the pictures I had taken! So I pulled my hair back. Ain't they beautiful? I had almost bought them in the Forever21 in Las Vegas but somehow ended up not. Thankfully they still had them in the Forever21 I always go to.
I had never been a big fan of black paired with gold but it's definitely starting to grow on me. :)
But I have always been a huge fan of antiqued-looking jewelry. Actually, I'm a sucker for earrings, period. XD
Also, I finally got something I've been in search of since last year... drumroll please!
A sequined black beret! Granted, the color sort of blends with my own hair but I don't mind.
I lurve it.
I bought it at Wal-Mart for a whopping $8. Not bad, right?! It was also the last one, which I took as a divine sign that this baby was meant for me. You just never know what you'll find at Wal-Mart. :P
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great evening!
As always, thank you for taking the time to read. :)

Too late EOTD

Hello everyone! I'd been meaning to post this quite a few days ago but I'd misplaced the SD card. Way to go, right? XD Thankfully I found it and I'll be posting this look now. I'm pretty sure I wore it last Wednesday. Oh, well! Here it is now. ^_^

Products used
-Maybelline Color Tattoo in Fuchsia Fever
Lid
-UD Omen
Lid and lower lashline
-UD Junkshow
Above my crease
-Love & Beauty dark purple eyeshadow
Outer v and lower lashline
-UD Tainted

-MAC Dark Diversion fluidline
-Maybelline the Mega Plush mascara

I'd worn this look to school and recall thinking it might have been a little too much... but then I realized I didn't quite care. I loved how it looked and that was that. :P

Here's another piccie.
Damn my inability to take a straight picture. XD

Anyway, I hope everyone's having a good Tuesday!
Now that I have the SD card in my possession I can finally post more often, whee. ^_^
As always, thank you for reading!

Haul: a long time coming

Hello everybody! I'd like to wish you all a good Saturday. So, as I said yesterday I bring you my haul. It's a bit of MAC and drugstore products. :)
First up... my MAC babies. I just bought four items from their Style Seeker collection. Once I'd heard about the burnished red blush, I knew had to snatch that sucker. I ended up buying:
Ready to Roam Mid-tone true blue red (Limited Edition)
Restless Dark burnt bronze (Limited Edition)
Supercontinental Bright cute coral (Satin) (Limited Edition)
Hidden Treasure Rich burnt red (Velvet) (Limited Edition)
Ready to Roam, Wicked Ways, Restless, Plum Fun
Since Wicked Ways was my only red gloss, I wanted to make sure that Ready to Roam wasn't close to it. Ready to Roam is definitely warmer with red shimmer while Wicked Ways is cooler and has different colored shimmer. When I first saw Restless I was wondering if it would be similar to Plum Fun. While they have the same-ish berry base, Restless has that beautiful bronze shimmer which makes it completely different from Plum Fun.
Supercontinental and Hidden Teasure next to it. Underneath is the pink blush from Forever 21.
The MAC blushes go on so smoothly and nice. At first I was a bit hesitant about Supercontinental since it would appear that it's a little too pale for me. But my MA proved me wrong by putting it on my cheeks, thus giving me a very healthy glow. Hidden Treasure also gives me a pretty glow but I need to be very careful because too many swipes can make me look like a circus reject. The blush from Forever 21 is a pretty pink. Needs to be built up a bit but it's nice and not too powdery. Overall pleased with them. :)
The left side from Comfort Zone, no primer
I used a brush to swatch the colors and only one swipe of color. I'm sure they could be built up but they apply magnificently on the eye. The only color I'm kind of disappointed with is the 'Browbone' color which barely appears on my skin. Still very pretty colors. Though that last one vaguely reminds me of MAC's Family Crest pigment.
Right side plus the purple shadow from Forever 21, again no primer
Again, one swipe using a brush. I've only used the MAC Club dupe and it's so pretty on! The second shade kind of reminds me of MAC Juxt. I'm going to need to post a huge dupe post soon. :P The Forever 21 eyeshadow was a tiny bit powdery but it'd be so beautiful under the Fuschia Fever base from Maybelline. :)
On my index: Hot for Chocolate by Revlon, Middle: Two Cent from Sonia Kashuk, Ring: Deadly Dose by Wet n Wild
Love the first two colors! That's just one swipe, mind you. I was a tad disappointed with Deadly Dose, I was expecting it to be a bit more... antique in color. I used three swipes, so it definitely needed building up. Another thing against it is that the brush's bristles were messed up! Boo for that.
So... that's my haul! I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday. As always, thanks for reading. :D

Day to night EOTD

Hello everyone! How was everybody's week? Good, I hope. :D
Today I bring you what I wore on my eyes today and how I transitioned the look for nighttime.
I used:
-UDPP
-UD Sidecar
Lid
-UD Smog
Crease and up
-UD Half Baked
Lower lashline
Easy, simple but pretty. I used Demi Wispies lashes... BUT those are a pair I had cut in half since I'd been wanting to use 'em as half lashes. So, I ended up stacking both together and ta-da! Perfect half lashes. I'm going to need to buy a new pair of DW, though coz these are getting all old. XD
To amp it up for tonight I added:
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Test my Teal
-Lower lashline
-UD Evidence
Lower lashline
-Third brown in the left side of Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette
Crease
-MAC Midnight Blues fluidline
Waterline
I'll be posting a haul tomorrow! I took the pictures today and cropped them but fer sure will be posting it tomorrow. :)
It's not a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am in one go haul, though.
So yeah.
I hope everyone has a great Friday! :D
xo,
Wendy.
