Hello everyone! Sorry about going MIA on ya'll... I just felt like I needed to get my life back in control. I had been feeling so down so I just had to... take a break. I'm doing much better now, though! I recently got a job (yay!) and the school semester is about to end so I'm back. :D
To kick off my posting again, I'm going to post a haul. I didn't buy this in one day, mind you. It's just items that I'd been accumulating to swatch and post.
From MAC's Glitter and Ice collection, I bought Pleasure Principle dazzleglass (my first ever, yay!) and What Joy! lipstick. Pleasure Principle is described as clear white violet, teal and white pearl and What Joy! as deep berry, with a satin finish. When I first saw pictures/swatches of the dazzleglass, I knew I had to have it. I just loved the sparkles in it! I'm just a sucker for pretty sparkles, I guess. As for What Joy! it was a no-brainer, especially as I am really loving berry hues right now. I honestly thought I was going to haul the heck out of this collection, not only did the products look more promising (to me) but I just love the white packaging! I'm thinking of getting Winterized but who knows... I just might. I love how it's a "dirty" purple color.
I wasn't really planning on buying myself anything else from MAC's holiday collections/sets but I ended up buying the Dazzlesphere coral ornament (which was initially bought as a gift... oops!). I'm also a sucker for corals, which is why I kept these. ^^; These contain two dazzleglasses and two cremesheen glasses. Besides, Temptalia said that it was a good value, so who am I to pass up on a good value set? hehe. Also, I found the packaging the glosses came in to be cute as heck! If only I could hang it. :P
I'd been running out of my UDPP and so I decided to give paint pots a whirl and bought Soft Ochre. I'm dying to buy Indianwood but I'd like to try out Soft Ochre and if it works well for me, then I'll buy Indianwood. I just love bronze-y neutral colors.
My biggest purchase was probably MUFE's HD foundation. I've read reviews people raving about it, thinking it was okay and about people who didn't care for it. I was pretty curious about it... so why not try it for myself? I went to Sephora today with my mom (and niece) since she was the one who was interested in one. She'd tried it a few months back and just loved how it felt and how natural it looked. I got matched to 128 and my mom to 125. I'm actually going to be wearing it tomorrow since we're all taking a family picture. :)
I can't really say anything about the foundation other than it feels and looks nice, so I'll probably review it after I've worn it several times.
Top to bottom: What Joy! lipstick, Pleasure Principle dazzleglass, Phiff dazzleglass, Eurobeat dazzleglass, On the Scene cremesheen glass and finally Richer, Lusher cremesheen glass
What Joy! looks a bit brown-y swatched, but it's a beautiful berry on my lips. I would have taken lip swatches, but I'd just end up having leftover glitter residue from the dazzleglasses... so not today. I didn't take any swatches of Soft Ochre paint pot because everybody and their makeup-loving mother knows what it looks like. As for the MUFE foundation, I felt bad opening it and using it up without actually using it... know what I mean? haha. So you shall have to wait for swatches of that.
That swatch picture doesn't give the dazzleglasses any justice of the beautiful shimmer in them, especially Pleasure Principle. So here's a slightly out of focus picture showing you just that. Enjoy.

Here's a sneak peak of the eye look I'm planning on doing tomorrow for our picture...
Ignore the chipped nail polish, please! >_<

That is all for now!
I will more than likely post a FOTD tomorrow. Maybe OOTD if I look supa nice.
Have a good night, everyone!
xo,
Wendy.

Pleasure Principle is sooo pretty! I didn't buy anything from the MAC holiday collection, I didn't really like anything. The lip glosses were gorgeous, but I don't wear lip glosses often so it is pointless to get more.
ReplyDeleteThe paint pots tempted me, but I was a good girl!
It is so nice to see you blogging again :)
welcome back doll!! congrats on your new job and wow--congrats on the haul lol, I want everything you got :)))
ReplyDeleteNancy, it is! Even if I don't use it that much, it's just nice to have and... look at. XD I really thought I was going to buy more but I'm happy with what I got. ^_^ Thanks! I missed blogging.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Maryam! lol I'm a big girl now and I need to start doing things for myself. If I want things done, I need to make it happen instead of waiting around. >_> hehe you should buy!
