I totally caved!

So... taking advantage that today was the last tax-free day, my mom and I went shopping after having a delicious breakfast at IHOP. Not only did we walk off the calories but we also scored good deals thanks to the no-tax thing. :D
What did I cave into, you may ask?
Well, I bought the 15 Anniversary Urban Decay palette!
I walked into Sephora (sadly ours is in a JCPenney, but better than nothing right?!) and to my delight saw the display for the anniversary products and I got all excited... but then I realized that the space where the palettes should be displayed was empty; they were sold out. I sighed and showed my mom how pretty the colors were and especially seemed to like Deep End. I swatches a few shades and sighed; I guess it wasn't my time to own one, I thought. Luckily for me, one of the MA's appeared and asked me if I was looking for anything. I proceeded to tell her my problem and she told me they would be getting them in stock soon. She said to be sure, she was going to ask another MA if they had any in the back and so off he went. I prowled to the MUFE counter and thought that I'd like to get into buying products from that brand, but only if MAC didn't have such tight hold on me. -_- I also told myself if they didn't have any, well, it wasn't meant to be. Luckily (again), the MA appeared holding three palettes and handed one to me and jokingly asked how many I wanted and I joked back at him, saying all hehe.
Anyway, so I paid (well, for almost half since my mom said she would be using colors too) and went off on my merry way. :D
Another cool thing, I finally got a knuckle ring! I'd been seeing those online everywhere but none were really my style. I was in Charlotte Russe and was about to pay for my dress and earrings (I'm seriously a dangly earring hound o_o) when the cashier told me that if I pay over $30 I would get a free ring. Just then my mom approached and told me the same thing and I joked how cool would it be to get the knuckle ring for free (it costs $8.50, yo!) and then asked the cashier if it could be the knuckle ring and to cut story short, it was! I was so happy to get it for free. I mean, I know $8.50 is probably not much to some but to a jobless, poor college student like me... well, that's pretty awesome. :D
On a different note, tomorrow's the first day of fall semester! I'm so psyched to be going back to school. This summer felt sooooo long! I think it also has to do since I'm starting my drawing class (that goes toward my Art major). I'm a bit nervous since I have zero drawing/art experience. I mean, I was in band throughout high school. The closest thing to art or drawing I have done is the Van Gogh portrait I drew for extra credit in my Art Appreciation class. Still, though... I'm so looking forward to it and drawing cool things and hopefully getting better too! :)
Another cool thing is that I have Tuesdays and Thursdays off! Good days to relax or catch up.
Well, I shall provide pictures/swatches of the palette and my knuckle ring! Quite possibly an OOTD post... we'll see.
Goodnight/good day everyone!
xo,
Wendy.
